With 20 years of experience in juvenile justice, Brian Penland brings extensive knowledge of facility operations, staff safety, crisis intervention, and organizational leadership to Penland Safe Intervention Solutions.
Having served as a Juvenile Detention Manager, Brian understands the real-world challenges professionals face when managing difficult situations while maintaining safety, professionalism, and accountability.
His background includes training professionals through the Oregon Juvenile Department Directors Association (OJDDA), completing the Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators (CJJA) Facility Director Training Program and Superintendent Certification training, and serving as a current Mandt System instructor.
Brian founded Penland Safe Intervention Solutions to provide practical, experience-driven training that equips professionals with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to challenging situations.
